Civil War Confederate with the 1st Northeast Missouri Cavalry. Private Company I. Enlisted December 27, 1861; discharged June 10, 1862. His brothers, William, John and Nicholas served in the same company.

Children: Hily M, Charles, Mary, Ginevra, Christopher C, Myrtle, Infant Son, Cora E, Rosa L, Amanda, Marvin.
