Funeral will be held at 11 am tomorrow at Hanes Lineberry Chapel for Mrs Bertha Carolyn Walke 81 of 3312 Liberty Rd: who died at 12 50 pm yesterday in Moses Cone Hospital. Rev James Redling pastor of Forest Avenue Tabernacle will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until the service.
Native of Wilkes County she lived here 36 years and was a member of Forest Avenue Tabernacle.
Surviving are a son James T Walke of Asheville, two sisters Mrs Charles Gwynn of Yadkinville, and Mrs Roy Murchison of the home: two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
