GARNETT --- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Garnett for Adell Warren Brecheisen, 80, Garnett, who died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at a Garnett hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1920, in the Clearfield community in Douglas County, to Aaron and Stella Breithaupt Brecheisen. He graduated from Welda High School in Welda and the School of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in Manhattan. He was a veterinarian in the Garnett area and later worked in oil fields in the Welda area.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Delphian Lodge No. 44, AF&AM, Delphian Chapter No. 309, Order of Eastern Star and the Rotary Club, all in Garnett, and Elks Lodge in Osawatomie. He was a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association. He was active in a barbershop quartet.

He married Jean Estep on Nov. 26, 1942, in Manhattan. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Warren Brecheisen, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kurt Brecheisen, North Bend, Ore., and Mark Brecheisen, Parsons; a brother, Keith Brecheisen, Jean, Nev.; and seven grandchildren.

Burial will be in Garnett Cemetery.

Mr. Brecheisen will lie in state after 9 a.m. today at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Garnett, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
