August 5, 1928 - January 21, 2010

Augusta, GA – Entered into God's Kingdom Thursday, January 21, 2010 at University Hospital, Mr. William E. (Ed) Kelley, 81, husband of 60 years to Bobbie Kelley.

Mr. Kelley was born in Belk, Alabama and had lived in Augusta for the last 33 years. He was an active member and deacon of Warren Baptist Church where he was co-teacher of the Kelley/Pinson Couples Class. He served as a Signal Corps Warrant Officer in the United States Army and retired after 30 years of service. Afterwards he worked an additional 17 years in the Civil Service with the Signal Corps.

Family members in addition to his wife include his daughters: Teresa Moxley and husband Leonard of Martinez, Tina Kelley Williams and husband Jerry of Loganville, GA; son: Tony Edward Kelley and wife Brenda of Suwanee, GA; four sisters; three brothers; grandchildren: David Near, Jennifer Latham, Tyler Kelley, Jesse Kelley, Taylor Williams, Jasper Williams, and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Warren Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. David McKinley and Rev. Brett Legg officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Deacons of Warren Baptist Church and members of the Kelley/Pinson Couples Class. Interment followed in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
