William J. Moorhead, 65, of Kittanning RD6, died Saturday, March 18, 2000 at the Kittanning Care Center. He was born April 21, 1934 in Kittanning to Grant O. and Esther (McDowell) Moorhead. He was employed as a screen operator at Drexel Refractories from 1950 until the plant closed. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed gardening. He sold produce from his booth in West Kittanning. Survivors include his wife, Susan L. (Weitzel) Moorhead; three sons, William J. of Templeton, Thomas J. of Worthington and Rex A. of Kittanning; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Beverly) McGinnis and Deborah Cunningham, both of Kittanning, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a step daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Cassandra) Hannah of Kittanning, one stepson, Dwayne Weitzel of Kittanning; two brothers, Robert Moorhead of Kittanning and Jack Moorhead of Rural Valley; and three sisters, Rosella Ritchey of Kittanning, Clara Brison and Dorothy Craig both of Rural Valley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George O Moorhead; a brother, Grant O. Moorhead; and a sister, Alice George. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000 with the Rev. Darin Hepler and the Rev. James Wagner of the Harvest Community Church officiating. Interment will be in Kittanning
