Funeral for Samuel D. Chapman, 88, of 1719 Cleburne St., will be at 3 p.m. today with Cemetery. Wrights Funeral graveside rites at Greenleaf Home is in charge of arrangements. -- Mr. Chapman died Friday at his home following a sudden illness. -- Born, Nov. 28, 1877, in Mississippi, he was a members of the Baptist Church. -- Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hubert Hill of Phillips, Mrs. Joe Holder of Downing, Calif. and Mrs. Montie Wilson of San Diego, Cal.; one son, Paul Chapman of Los Angeles, Calif:; two brothers, R. D. Chapman of Abilene and Bill Chapman of Seagraves; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren." (exact transcription)
