He was born at Eglon, December 7, 1905, a son of the late Ezra and Cora Hamstead Fike.
He served as principal of Aurora High School in 1927 and 1928.
He was licensed to the ministry in 1923 and later began a pastorate in West Virgina and Virginia. His ministry was one of 61 years.
He is survivrd by his wife, Ann Fike, of Danville; three sons, the Rev. Earle Fike Jr. of Hunington, PA, Ray Fike of Richmond, VA, Jerry Lee Fike of Holly Hill, Fla., ; three daughters, Betty Myers, Bridgewater, VA, Joyce Daniel of Danville, Elnora Hedgebeth of Blacksburg, VA; three sisters, Olive Huffman of Bridgewater, VA, Maye Arnett of Rowlesburg, Virginia Life, Harrisonburg, VA; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
