Claude Russell Burch, 74, of Avon died Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Saunders Hospital in Avon.
He was born May 10, 1903, at Macomb, and married Evelyn Niles on Dec. 11, 1948 at Kewanee. He lived in Prairie City for 20 years associated with his father in a butcher business.
He was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow and two sisters, Mrs. Winfrey Orwig of Avon and Mrs. Ruth DeForest, Galesburg.
Funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Corman Memorial Home, Avon, with Rev. Thietje Hunt, pastor of the Avon Federated Church, officiating. Friends may call from Thursday at noon until the funeral. Burial will be in Avon Cemetery.
