Funeral services for George D. Connell, Sr., were conducted by Rev. Arnold Olsen at Little's Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in Elkland cemetery. Mr. Connell passed, away at his residence in Evergreen
Township on Friday. He was born in Sanilac County, November 22, 1882, the son of the late John and Sarah Meddows (Meddaugh) Connell and was united in marriage with Miss Grace Hawkins of Detroit in 1908 at Croswell. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm on Decker Road in Evergreen Township where he lived until his death.
Mrs. Connell passed away May 12, 1944.
