James Cleveland Robinson,70, of 670 Springhill Avenue, died January 15,1999, at home.
A native of Chesnee, he was son of the late JaVon and Azzie Crow Robinson Lamb. He was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church for more than 35 years, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class, a former deacon, and was active in many other areas of the church. He retired from Beaumont Mills after 50 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Cromer Robinson; two sons, James C. Robinson, Jr., of Savannah, Georgia, and Rick Robinson of Chesnee; two sisters; Christine R. Humphries, of Gaffney, and Denise P. Short, of Alexandria, Virginia;three brothers, Javon Robinson,Jr., of Chesnee, Jordan Robinson and Rocky Robinson, both of Virginia; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Chesnee.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, at Beaumont Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. John Cox and Rupert Guest. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
