OBITUARIES
NINA LETHA BRACK
Nina Brack, 62, of Yakima, Wash., died Sunday at her home. Mrs. Brack was born March 18, 1927, in La Grande to James H. and Bertha "Dot" Proffitt. She graduated from La Grande High School in 1944 and attended Eastern Oregon College. She married Jack R. Brack. The family moved to Yakima, Wash., in 1962 where she worked as an accountant in several business offices in the area. Mrs. Brack enjoyed her children and grandchildren and their sports activities. She was always available to help them in times of need and they knew their importance to her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her sons. Jack A., Selah, Wash., and Robert J., Kirkland, Wash.; daughters, Linda J. Dyson, Rainier, and Joyce G. Brack, San Clemente, Calif.; mother Bertha "Dot" Proffitt, La Grande; eight grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Her father, James H. Proffitt, died Nov. 29, 1973, and a sister, Virginia Winn Huwa, died April 2, 1986. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Cemetery with Bishop David S. Bean of the Third Ward of the LDS Church conducting. Arrangements are under the direction of Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel.
