Mary (Walker) Ferree was born March 15 1814 to Zachariah and Sarah (Barngrover) Walker in Ohio. She was one of nine siblings. On June 7 1835, she married Mr Philip Gatch Ferree in Owensville, OH. She was the mother of seven Children; Melville, Sarah Rebecca, David Theodore, John Adams, Minerva E, Philip Walker and William Henry. Mary died August 1 1897 in Clay County, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip; and two sons, Melville and David Theodore. Mary was laid to rest in the Ong Cemetery in Ong, NE.
