John Clemon DeHaven served as a Fireman 1st Class in the United States Navy during World War I.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on December 14, 1917.

He received his discharge from the Navy on December 23, 1919.

He was originally from Ganotown, West Virginia.

He was married twice. His first wife was Tina Grubbs. They were divorced sometime before 1930.

His second wife was Carrie Yost.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on May 29, 1952.
