Cora Irene Sanderson was a daughter of Theodore Sanderson and Elvira Bowman.

She married James Winfield Underhill October 15, 1875 in Seward, Seward, Nebraska. They had four children, Ernest Calvin (1879-1954), Pearl Elvira (1880-1880), Clyde Winfield (1881-1964), and Winnie Cree (1895-1982).

The date of her burial is January 29, 1932.

Her obituary as it appeared in the February 4, 1932 edition of the Millard County Chronicle follows:
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. J.W. UNDERHILL

Funeral services were held at the Community Church Friday January 29th for Mrs. J. W. Underhill. The speakers were Clark Allred of Delta and the Rev. Frary of Eureka. Mr. Allred spoke of his long acquaintance with the family and of the high esteem in which he held their friendship. The Rev. Frary delivered an extended address. Mrs. Cora I. Sanderson Underhill was born in Cannon City, Minn. July 5, 1859 and was united in marriage to James W. Underhill October 15, 1875 at Seward, Nebraska. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Delta about six years ago. To this union, the following children were born; Ernest C. Underhill, Los Angeles; Pearl E. Underhill who died in early childhood; Clyde W. Underhill, Delta; Mrs. Cree Elmer, Milford, Utah. Mrs. Underhill was survived by three of the four children born and by her husband, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. Underhill made their home in Nebraska until the year of 1911 when they moved to delta and have resided here ever since.
