Husband of Genelle Overton Weeks - Married 05/26/1993
Raymond Earl Weeks, 87, of Haskell, Texas, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at a local hospital. Services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at East Side Baptist Church in Haskell with Rev. Jay Beerly officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery in Avoca, Texas under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.
Born April 6, 1923 in Avoca, he was the son of the late Ben Weeks and Linnie Pierce. He farmed early in his life and then retired as a Production Supervisor at Pautsky Drilling.
On May 26, 1993, he married Genelle Overton in Avoca, Texas. He was a member at East Side Baptist Church. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and and wife Marta Guest in 1992, and son Michael Weeks.
Survivors include wife Genelle Weeks of Haskell; daughters, Rebecca Clark and husband Harris Osborne of Wichita Falls, Jo Sammons and husband Alvin of Seymour, and Jana Norville and husband Dale of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to East Side Baptist Church, Haskell, Texas.
