ALLEN—In Benton, January 22, 1923, Nancy A. Allen, aged 72 years. She died at the home of her brother Wm. B. Voak, from a stroke of apoplexy.
Mrs. Allen was born in the town of Benton, and on the farm where she died, May 7, 1832, making her age nearly 91 years. She was the daughter of Josiah and Lucretia Voak. She was married to Smith Allen about 70 years ago and resided on a farm near Ferguson's Corners, all of her married life.
She is survived by one son, Olin J.; a brother, Wm. B. Voak, whose wife was her adopted daughter. Two sons, Wilbur and Frank died some time ago.
The funeral was held from the home of her brother, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Saunders, pastor of the Voak church officiating. Interment in Voak cemetery.
