L. Jean, 79, was the daughter of Russel & Dorothy Freeman Dinius and she died at The Tipton House in Huntington. She married Harold (Hank) Denney on 8-19-1949. He preceded her in death on 9-29-1991. Mrs. Denney was a 1948 graduate of Huntington High School, and had been employed as office manager of House of Honda and Yamaha in Ft. Wayne. She was a member of Union Church, Huntinton, and a 43-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of Floral Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and American Business Women's Association.
Survivors include 2 sons, James B. (Sue A.) Denney of Roanoke, and Bruce C. (Julie L.) Denney of Huntington; a brother L. Jack Dinius, Surprise, AZ; and 4 grandchildren, Jillian, Andrea, Eric and Bradley Denney.
Service was held 1-13-2010 at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington, with Rev. Howard Cherry officiating. Preferred memorials are gifts to Camp Living Waters Church Camp or Riley Hospital.
