Mr. Jackson was born March 9, 1901, at Bardolph. He moved in 1916 to Avon, where he lived the remained of his life. He was an employe of Abingdon Potteries, Inc. He was married to Miss Verna Pearl Davis in 1932. She died in 1952.
Surviving are his father, James Elba Jackson of Avon, two sons, David and Larry Jackson of Avon; a brother Thomas Jackson of Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Ode Manuel of Avon and Mrs. Inez Switzer of Williamsfield, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Corman Memorial Home in Avon, where friends may call until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery.
