UTICA Emmette Beaube Sr. died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was 89.
Mr. Beaube was a Claiborne County native and had been a Utica resident most of his life. He was a retired automobile mechanic.
He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II. He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Beaube was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie V. Beaube, and two sons.
He is survived by three sons, William C. Beaube and Jerry Allen Beaube, both of Dentville, and Emmette Beaube Jr. of Bentonia; a brother, James Beaube of Port Gibson; two sisters, Minnie Mae Ivey of Port Gibson and Annie Laura Greer of Vicksburg; and six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica with the Revs. David Pattison and Stephen Sance officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Beaube, Grant Beaube, Tommy Ivey, Tommy Beaube, Wayne Greer and Wayne Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Sullivan and Gary Pattison.
