Funeral services for Aaron Boyd Moss, age 83, OF Rt.. 3, Bonham, who died Thursday night at North Hill Hospital in North Richland Hills, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Wise Funeral Home. Guardian Chapel. Dr. Ray Spore will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery.
Mr. Moss was born May 22, 1905 in Moss Chapel, Delta County, Texas, the son of Albert Boyd Moss and Iva Ethel McCullough Moss. He married Ethel Mae Hastings on October 27, 1927, in Bonham and she preceded him in death July 17, 1987. He was a retired farmer and made his first crop at age 13. He made a crop every year until his retirement. His paternal grandparents donated the land in Delta County to the Methodist Episcopal Church and the town was named "Moss Chapel". He lived many years in the Bledsoe Community of Fannin County.
He is survived by four daughters, Letitia Johnson of Arlington, Rose Marie Moore of Euless, Carolyn VanZandt of North Richland Hills, Myra Szynkowski of Watauga; one sister, Bonnie Stringfellow of Sacramento, Calif; ten grandchildren, Greg, Karen and Johnson, Laurel New, Mark Wilkinson, Maria MacDonald, Shannon Moore, Carma and Jamey VanZandt and Scotty Piland; five great grandchildren, April and Christopher Johnson, Shawn and Eric Neu and Jeremy Sparks; a niece and nephew.
The Family will be at Wise Funeral Home tonight from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m
