Walter W. Blattman of Crompond, died August 31, 1999. He was 75. Mr. Blattman owned and operated Wallmark Television in the Peekskill Area for over 25 years. He was born October 20, 1923 in Bronx, to Aaron and Olga Zelkind Blattman.

He served in the US Navy as a Seabee from 1943 to 1946. He attended City College of NY for 3 1/2 years pursuing a degree in physics. On May 1, 1954 he married Helen M. Perschnick in Alexandria, VA, where they resided in Crompond. She died June 19, 1994. Locally, in his younger years he played and sponsored local softball teams, participated in numerous bowling leagues and for 20 years he managed and coached at the Cortlandt American Little League. His hobbies included stamp and coin collecting, and regularly beating his sons at chess.

He is survived by his sons, Eric Blattman of Norwalk, CT and William A. Blattman of Parker, CO, and five grandchildren; Corey, Daniel, Jack, Kenneth and Anna. Funeral services at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at King David Cemetery.
