IVAN M. AGIN
Ivan M. Agin, 80,of Midland and formerly of Beaverton, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at his home. Born Aug. 30, 1921 in Bluffton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Wiliam and Susan (Klinger) Agin. Ivan married the former Helen I. Ashley, Sept. 6,1942in Midland. She preceded him in death May 6, 1998. Ivan and his wife owned and operated Agin's 5c to $1 Store in Beaverton for 40 years. He was a devoted member of the Beaverton Church of the Nazerene.
Surviving are two sons, Gary and wife Laurie of Carmel, Ind. and Dennis and wife Mary Ella of Anderson, Ind; grandchildren, Andy, Adam, Amy and Kristen Agin, Maria Luckey, and Susie Planck and husband Kipp; great-grandchildren, Abraham Luckey, and Ellie and Sophie Planck; and one sister, Lois Agin of Bluffton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral and committalservices were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Beaverton Church of the Nazerene with Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Interment was in Midland Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverton Church of the Nazrene. Smith-Miner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
