Obit for Lawrence Flannagan
Another Soldier Answers the Last Summons.
Lawrence Flannagan, long a resident of Albert Lea, died at his home, which was with his son, Wm. A. Flannagan, River street, Friday morning, aged 80 years. The son on calling him to breakfast found that he had passed away, it is believed from heart failure. He was born in Ireland, was married in Wisconsin, came to this county in1860 and has lived in Albert Lea 15 years or more. His wife, a sister of M. J. Kilmer, died in 1877. Besides William, there are three other sons living, L. J., of Owatanna, G. A., and A. A. Flannagan of Mankato. Deceased was a soldier in the civil war and member of Tobson Post G. A. R., and the funeral Sunday afternoon was conducted by the Post, Rev. S. E. ???? officiating clergyman.
