Wife of F.B. Caldwell.
Word was received here yesterday to the effect that Mrs. Freeley B. Caldwell had died at her home in Chicago yesterday. While the news was not unexpected it was a severe shock to her many friends in Decatur. She had been in poor health for a number of years past and during her last illness became unconscious on Monday at noon and did not revive before the final summons came.
She was a daughter of the late Judge S.F. Greer and was for many years a resident of Decatur. She was a sister of Mrs.W. R. Abbott and Ford Greer of Lafayette, Ind. who arrived last evening to attend the funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell went from Decatur to LaFayette about 18 years ago and 13 years ago they moved to Chicago where they have since made their home.
The remains will reach this city on an early morning train and the funeral will be held at 11 am from the residence of W. R. Abbet. The interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
