C. O. Baker, Sr.
Charles O. Baker Sr., 61 died Monday morning at the Abilene Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1917, near Fairbury, Neb., the son of Edward and Rosa Baker. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army.
On June 24, 1948, he Married Thelma Hartman. He spent most of his married life in Abilene. Mr. Baker was employed by the Ehrsam Company and for the past twenty years by the Abilene Alfalfa Mill.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, 304 SW 2nd, a dauther, Mrs. Colett Barber, Fairbury, Neb. and three sons; Eldon Hartman, Canton; Charles Baker Jr., Halstead; and Norman Hartman of Abilene, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Danner Funeral home, with the Interment in the Abilene Cemetery.
