Salt Lake City- Heber Fay Roberts, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah on Nov. 9, 1996 due to cancer.
He was born in Kanosh, Utah on April 27, 1906 to John Benedict Roberts and Lily Gardner Christensen. Married Maize Hansen from Richfield, Utah in Flagstaff, Arizona on June 12, 1931 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for five years as a High Priest Group leader in the Wells Ward and also counselor in the bishopric. He had many hobbies which included fishing, hunting, and he loved working in his vegetable garden. He was a very charitable, kind, loving person and father.
Survived by his wife, Maize; son, Roger Roberts and wife, Nina; daughter, Marjorie Foote and husband Wally; daughter, Lorraine Hull and daughter, Janeane and husband, Mike Bowen; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Wells Ward, 1990 So. 500 East. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment; Mt. View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 So. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary.
