Roberet Lee Cole Dies; 12 Years Old

Robert Lee Cole, 12 years old, a native of Oxford, died at 12:30 Thursday morning in Mercy hospital. The boy had been ill for two weeks and he underwent an operation for a ruptured appendix. He had been in Arkansas City the past school year and was a student in the fifth grade at Lincoln school.

Surviving relatives are his father, Orville Ray Cole, 1907 North Seventh street; his mother, Mrs. Floyd W. Jones, a brother, Jack Ray Cole, both of Oxford; a grandfather, Charles Cole, Cabool, Mo., and a grandmother, Mrs. Laura Sparks, Arkansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in the Grant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery, where a sister Laverne Cole, is buried.
