Zena moved to Spruce, Pocahontas Co, West Virginia in 1907 with her family. Spruce was a lumber town. They lived there until 1911 when they moved to Parsons, Tucker Co, WV. In Parsons they lived on a farm. In 1920 they moved, along with all their farm animals, to Fisher, Clarion Co, PA. Zena never married. She started teaching school when the family lived in WV, and continued in PA. She moved to McKean County with her parents in the late 1920s, then moved to CA in the early 1950s for health reasons.
