Alva Mae Childers Smith, 85, of Greenville, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005.
Widow of Elmer William Smith, Sr., she was born in Greenville, the daughter of the late William Pinkney and Elizabeth Ragsdale Childers.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Patricia S. Nodine of Chicago, Ill.; a son, E.W. Smith and his wife, Christy, of Easley; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Graceland Cemetery, West.
The family is at their respective homes.
