Willian Frank Daniels of St. Clair Michigan was serving as Battalion Sgt. Major of the 3rd National Communications Service (NCS) Battalion of the 8th. U.S. Infantry, stationed in Havana Cuba when he died of chronic dysentery due to yellow fever as reported on the U.S. Army Record of Enlistments (1798 - 1914).
Originaly interned in U.S. Military Section of The Colon Cemetery "Cementerio de Cristóbal Colón", Havana, Cuba his remains were re-interned at the Fort Wayne (Detroit) Post Cemetery, site 117, circa 1902 in coordination with the withdrawal of U.S. Occupation Forces in Cuba.
