Stanislava was accepted into the Felician Congregation in June, 1930 and at the Investiture Ceremony she received the name, Sister Mary Medard. First Vows were professed in 1933 and Final Vows in 1939. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Detroit followed by a Master of Science in Education at the same University.
For 63 years Sister Medard taught in schools in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
At the age of 91, Sister Mary Medard took up the ministry of prayer with permanent residence in St. Joseph/Blessed Mary Angela Convents.
Sister Medard is survived by a sister, Kay Hoffman, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Babiuch, and many nieces and nephews. Translation services were conducted by Rev. Timothy Babcock, Chaplain. The Mass of Resurrection followed Morning Prayer in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel of the Felician Sisters. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
