Arnold M. Gerler
A funeral will be held Sunday, October 24, 2004 for 91-year-old Arnold M. Gerler of Altenburg who died Thursday, October 21st at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born February 14th, 1913 in Altenburg, the son of Martin and Emma (Mueller) Gerler, who both preceded him in death.
He married Flora Marie Seibel on July 2nd, 1943. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: a daughter and son in law, Wanda and Eldon Hall of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; a son and daughter in law, Charles and Marie Gerler of Altenburg; a brother, Vernon "Sam" Gerler of Altenburg; three grandchildren, Lance and Kelly Richter of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jennifer and Jeff Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Chad and Melissa Gerler of St. Peters; and a great granddaughter, Jenna Richeter of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
A brother, Albert Gerler and a sister, Gertrude Gerler, also preceded him in death.
He was a farmer and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Young and Sons East
Perry Chapel.
A funeral for 91-year-old Arnold M. Gerler of Altenburg will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate. Military graveside service will be provided by American
Legion Post No. 133.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Home.
