Captain Daniel was a native of Canton, GA. He came to Atlanta in 1867. He was a well known conductor of the Central of Georgia Railway and a well known Confederate Veteran. He served throughout the War Between the States with distinction and was in the same regiment as Governor Candler. He was a member of the local lodge of the Order of Railway Conductors. He was 65 years of age.
