Mary Ellen Oneslager, 79, Lawrence, Kansas, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Brandonwoods Nursing Home in Lawrence, Kansas.
She was born in Earlton, Kansas, on March 31, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Cora Beatrice (Hamill) Yockey.
She was united in marriage to Lewis Jackson Oneslager on April 20, 1947, in Humboldt, Kansas. He is deceased.
She was retired from the Monarch Cement Plant in Humboldt, where she worked in the weigh station.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Humboldt.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Ellison of Chanute, KS; a son, Gerald "Gary" and his wife, Carol, of Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tim Yockey of Humboldt, KS, and Richard Yockey of Rockport, TX; and two sisters, Alice Thomas of Pittsburg, KS, and Sally Clark of Mound Ridge, KS.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.
