HALE COUNTY MAN'S RITES CONDUCTED
PLAINVIEW, Sept 19--
Funeral services for A. J. Harmel 69 years old, well known farmer, rancher residing south of Plainview were conducted here Friday afternoon. Rites were held at the First Methodist Church of which Harmel was a member with Dr. L. M. Lipscomb, Plainview Methodist district superintendent officiating. Burial was in the Plainview cemetery.
The Harmel family moved here 24 years ago and in 1931 moved to the Happy Union community south of Plainview.
Survivors are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Millie (Joe) Culp, Plainview; Mrs. Ora Mae (William) Shell, Balla; three sons, Oliver and Aubrey Harmel both of Plainview and W. J. Harmel, Oklahoma City; two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.
