Pvt. Wesley Collyer was the husband of Elizabeth (McClure) Collyer (1834-1873). They were married on July 22, 1849 in Franklin County, Indiana and had at least five children together including: Simon, Charles, Solomon, Marietta and Louisa Amy Collyer. Wesley enlisted as a Private on August 19, 1862 in Co. C., 68th Indiana Infantry. He died in Nashville, Tennessee while in service to his country on August 8, 1863 at the age of 38. Wesley was the son of Thomas and Winnefred Collyer.
