Mrs. Maggie Prigmore Thomas, 92, longtime resident of Plainview, Texas, died Monday, January 6, 1964, at 10:30A.M.at Plainview Hospital and Clinic. She had resided at 908 West 7th Street, Plainview, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Tim Trammell officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Pallbearers included Ward Pinkerton, Owens Pinkerton, John D. Hendrick, Beeman Hendrick, Jimmy Brazele, and Cecil Witt.


The former Maggie D. Prigmore was born September 6, 1871 at McKinney, Texas. She and K.D. Thomas were married October 21, 1891 in Decatur, Texas. They moved to Plainview, Texas March 4, 1912, from Wise County, Texas, and farmed six miles west of Plainview. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

K.D. Thomas passed away in 1925. Surviving are a son, H.K. of Midland, six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Little, Mrs. J.M. Jackson and Mrs. Rosalie Hanna, all of Plainview, Mrs. Glenna Taylor of Decatur, Mrs. Clyde Cole of Midland and Mrs. Marguerite Hall of Tulia, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
