Funeral was today at 2 p.m. in Moore's Funeral Home Chapel, Wadesboro, conducted by the Rev. Tony Cowick. Burial followed in Greene's Memorial Cemetery, Stanly County.
Mr. Allen was a son of the late George Capel and Katie Gulledge Allen, and was a member of the Polkton Fire Department.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Edna Beatrice West Allen; mother, of Polkton; four brothers, Julian Allen, Bobby Allen, Charles Allen and Jasper Allen, all of Polkton; three sisters, Mrs. Arlene Honeycutt of Polkton, Mrs. Jeanette Hagin of Wadesboro, Ms. Hazel Ball of Winston-Salem; also three step-grandchildren.
Moore Funeral Home of Wadesboro was in charge of arrangements.
