Mr. Dan Bostic, 77, of 933 Cliffside Highway, Gaffney, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, NC, he was the husband of Jacqueline Collins Bostic and the son of the late Claude I. and Effie Lowery Bostic. He was a member of State Line Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, a choir member and RA leader. Mr. Bostic had a Master's Degree in education, taught school for 37 years at Chesnee High School, was a licensed Baptist Minister and was a Naval Veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Donna Estepp and husband, Ronnie of Gaffney; one son, Danny Earl Bostic of Gaffney; preceded in death by one son, Michael Arthur Bostic; three sisters, Clara Beason of Shelby, NC, Dorothy Cunningham of LaJolla, CA and Grace Greene of Shelby, NC; two brothers, Albert Bostic of Gaffney and Robert Bostic of Mooresville, NC; three grandchildren, Danny Bostic, Jr., and wife, Molly, Monica and Bethany Estepp; one great-grandson, Isaac Bostic. He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at State Line Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, officiated by the Rev. Eddie Bolin, the Rev. Charlie Blackwell and the Rev. Bobby Lindsey. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
