Committal service will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Anne Edine, 84, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Oberlin. She was born February 5, 1932 in Orange, Texas to the union of Edward S. Cox, Sr. and Anne (Butchee) Cox. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oakdale. After graduating from high school, Anne Edine continued her education receiving her master’s degree plus 30. She retired from the Rapides Parish School Board as an educator.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mason Erwin; and one sister, Doris (Cox) Sanders.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are: two daughters, Amy Erwin of Jeanerette and Jo E. Erwin of Oakdale; one brother, Edward S. Cox, Jr. of Orange, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and loyal friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Jo E. Erwin, Amy Erwin, Don Duplechian, Butch Butchee, Jim Sanders, and Charles Seal. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Johnny "Big John" and Nancy "Nan" Willis.
Visitation will be at White Oaks Memorial Chapel, Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., then on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Department, P. O. Box 366, Oakdale, Louisiana 71463.
