Dr. Don L. Womack, 87, died January 31, 2010 at his Memphis residence. He was born August 3, 1922 at Sage, AR to John Wesley Womack and Catherine (King) Womack. He served his Lord for 64 years as a Southern Baptist Evangelist. Dr. Womack served as president and executive secretary of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists for 16 years. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lorene (Bloodworth) Womack and one daughter Donna Womack of Nashville, TN. Graveside Services will be Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 11:30. The family requests that memorials be sent to Odyssey Health Care Hospice 5350 Poplar Ave. Suite 850, Memphis, TN 38119.
