William Jared Clark is Carol Rose (nee Clark) Sagers' 9th great grandfather's 6th great grandson. William Jared married Mary Josephine (nee Terry) on September 27, 1877 in Ansonia, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the Post Master for Derby. William also was an author and wrote the book, Commercial Cuba; A Book for Business Men which was published in 1898 by C. Scribner's Sons of New York. William died on December 13, 1922 at age 68 years, 4 months, and 23 days old in Ansonia, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was buried in Elm Street Cemetery in Ansonia. William and Mary had three children, William Merritt Clark, Harold Terry Clark, and Robert Lincoln Clark.
