Everett Allen Abercrombie, 70, of Soddy-Daisy, TN went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

Everett was born in Kansas City, KS, and graduated from Bishop Ward High School there. He received his degree in milling engineering from Kansas State University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Everett retired from Horizon Milling Co. in 2006, where he was the Eastern Regional Manager. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.

Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Carol Abercrombie; a grandson, Christopher Abercrombie and his parents, Mildred and Wilbert Watson.

He is survived by his wife of 8 1/2 years, Patricia Ann Abercrombie; three sons, Allen Abercrombie and his wife, Jackie, of Knoxville, TN, James Abercrombie, of Hixson, TN, and Dr. John Abercrombie, and his wife, Leah, of Knoxville, TN; three stepdaughters, Rebecca Postic, Theresa Postic and DeAnna Onken, and her husband, Nathan, all of Minnesota; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Frederick, Tyler and Ryan Abercrombie, April Olson, and her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Autumn; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Keith and Janet Abercrombie; and several nieces and nephews.

A Rosary Service will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.

A Mass of Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10768 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379, with Monsignor Al Humbrecht and Father Mike Creson officiating.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Everett's name to the building fund at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, P.O. Box 1015, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37384.
