"Alice Ida Dorman Thomas, 93, a 76-year resident of Shelton, died of pneumonia Monday, Feb. 3, 1997, in Fir Lane Terrace Convalescent Center, Shelton.


She was born Feb. 9, 1903, in Troy, Idaho, to Gus and Esther (Holmes) Swanson. She attended schools in Tacoma. She married Eugene L. Dorman in 1921 in Tacoma. She married Robert W. Thomas in 1973 in St Helens, Ore.


Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Shelton; the Shelton Garden Club, and was a charter member of the Mason General Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening.


Survivors include a son, Kenneth Dorman (and his wife, Sandy) of Juneau, Alaska; a daughter, Beverly Huss (and her husband, Joseph) of Tumwater; a brother, August Swanson of Tacoma; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, four brothers and one sister.


A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in Shelton Memorial Park. The Rev. James Markus will officiate." The Olympian (Olympia, Washington), February 4, 1997
