Elsie Hickam, 80 Dies At Home
Elsie Isabelle Hickam, 80, died at her home, Route 2 Box 1012, last Thursday. Mrs. Hickam was born Dec. 29, 1888 in Pomeroy and had lived in Shelton the past 37 years.
She is survived by four sons, James A., John A, Ronald M., and Leslie L., all of Shelton; five daughters, Mrs. Lois Pearson, Shelton, Mrs. Virgie Flaquinti, Seattle, Mrs. Lottie Young, Jesup, Ga., Mrs. Joelene Martin, Auburn, and Mrs. Evelyn Johnston, Huntsville, Mo.; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers John and Joe Watson, both of Pomeroy.
The funeral service was held in the Batstone Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial was in Shelton Memorial Park.
