Mary Etta Matilda Ann was named after four of her aunts. She was called Maryetta for short. After the death of her mother when she was only 5 years old. She was "given" to a Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Miller and they raised her.

In 1880, at the age of 18, she met Jim Matney and very shortly after meeting they married Feb-22-1882. Bore a son Harvey. Jim and Mary divorced.
She met Frank Putvin in 1889, he was French-Candadian who moved down from Canada. They married Sept-4-1890 in Pierce, Washington. Their children:

Olive Putvin b.? lived for 2 yrs
Frank Putvin b. 2-4-1896 d.1918
William "Bill" Putvin b. 11-15-1898 d.8-20-1969
James "Jim" Putvin b.10-18-1900 d.12-8-1969
Alice Grace Putvin b.2-12-1906 d.29 October 1993

Frank Putvin Sr died in an accident in 1909
Mary later met John French Moody, they married October 22, 1919.
