Alfred was a native of Graham County, NC. He retired from ALCOA and a son of the Abijah and Ida Trull Orr. His wife Novella Davis Orr survived him, as did his three sons, Aaron of Lakeworth, FL, Alfred Orr, Jr. of Covington KY, and James Orr of Gary, IN., and his four daughters, Berniece Cresse of PA, Gail Summey and Tuth Amburn of Greenback, TN, and Lori LeMay of Decatur, GA. Hewas survived, too, by a brother Ernest Orr of Sebring, FL, and three sisters, Betty Farr, Hattie Sherrill, and Fannie Elliott of NC, and 14 grandchildren.
