Lloyd Hooks Retired tool & die maker

Lloyd Hooks, 67, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge Mr. Hooks was a retired tool and die maker. He was the son of Harvey and Maudie Hooks. He was a member of Indian Bluff Baptist Church in Briceville and enjoyed hunting and fishing, the family said.

Mr. Hooks is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Hooks; three sons, Roger Hooks and his wife, Bonnie, of Briceville, and Dana Hooks and his wife, Denise, and David Hooks and his wife, Maria, all of Clinton; three sisters, Betty Hildtich and her husband, Bob, of Oregon, Ohio, Trudy Singlton and her husband, Shorty, and Rosemary Adkins and her husband, Jim, all of Lake City; and by two brothers, Bobby Hooks and his wife, Mary Lee, of Lake City, and Billy Hooks and his wife, Jewell, of Clinton.

He is also survived by a granddaughter, Ashley Hooks of Oliver Springs; three grandsons, Dustin Hooks and Darrin Hooks, both of Clinton, and Roger Hooks Jr., of Briceville; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Emilee Hooks of Briceville; and by several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Cathy Hooks, and a grandson, James Brian Hooks, died earlier.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Indian Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Byrge and the Rev. Warner Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Bluff Cemetery in Briceville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Jan. 9, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City
