Paul W.O. Bence, 78, of Port Ludlow died March 30, 1997, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1919, in Tacoma and graduated from Bremerton High School in 1938.
He served in the Army during World War II, primarily in the Corps of Engineers.
On June 15, 1946, he married Darline Noble in Bremerton.
Mr. Bence was a manager with The Boeing Co. for nearly 30 years and worked on the manned space program at Cape Kennedy, Fla. He retired in 1981.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven of Redmond; a daughter, Paula Heutson of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. April 4 at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
