ELMER ALBERT MATTOX, age 85, quietly slipped from this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Houston, TX.

He is survived by the love of his life, Ima Jean, with whom he shared his life for nearly 62 years, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elmer retired from Conoco, Inc. after 31 years of service.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, and for those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
